  • New Web Interface

As you can see, I change the look of the blog.
The theme is inspired from Windows XP. Everything is CSS without table !
I ripped nearly all images with ….XP !

The style is based on a work of Lim Chee Aun.

I kept the philosophy but I am still working on. In fact, I want to have a « CSS generator » module which will link the categories, the links to a database defined icon.

I need a bit of practise with CSS Level 2 but this stylesheet is already helpful.

BTW if you want a lot of skins just go to Zen Garden or Mezzoblue.

  • Few DNS issue…Solved now !

We experimented few DNS issues those last days….Here below the answer of the hoster :

Now, the websites were unavailable for a brief period of time, however the server experienced no loss of functionality. The problem resided in a higher level dns server loosing the zone file for our dns server. You could ping the server by its ip address and it would respond, but if you pinged the server by its hostname it would say ip address not found. That is not a problem with our server in any aspect at all. That is a problem at a higher point in the chain, and apparently it has been corrected as everything works now.
    ….

    So….

  • Free short stories from Brian Herbert

I found those two free novels on the site of the Frank Herbert son…Brian Herbert who wrote the « Prelude to Dune » Trilogy :

    Whipping Mek

    Hunting Harkonnens

Here is the rich and complex world that Frank Herbert created in his classic series, in the time leading up to the momentous events of DUNE. As Emperor Elrood’s son Shaddam plots a subtle regicide, young Leto Atreides leaves his lush, water-rich planet for a year’s education on the mechanized world of Ix; a planetologist named Pardot Kynes is dispatched by the Emperor to the desert planet Arrakis, or Dune, to discover the secrets of the addictive spice known as melange; and the eight-year-old slave Duncan Idaho is hunted by his cruel masters in a terrifying game from which he vows escape and vengeance. But none can envision the fate in store for them: one that will make them renegades-and shapers of history.

  • Training on PORTAL

I am attending a 4 days training on Portal Infranet Wireless Pricing and Rating (Version 6.5). So this means : no time for me… no time for this blog ! 🙁

At the beginning I should have attending this training in England. I managed to have it in Belgium… 🙂

  • Dune Series

Frank Herbert’s Dune series is one of the grandest epics in the annals of imaginative literature. Selling millions of copies worldwide, it is science fiction’s answer to The Lord of the Rings, a brilliantly imaginative epic of high adventure, unforgettable characters, and immense scope.

Ace/Berkley has reissued the original DUNE novel in hardcover. DUNE and the additional five novels will also be reissued in paperback, with a distinctive and « upscale » new look.

For any information on DUNE, just have a look at :

This list will be updated soon… You will get the full list in the « Link Management » area (to be defined and implemented)
